About Us
Christina began working professionally with animals over a decade ago, when a dog trainer observed her skill with dogs and suggested she start a dog walking business. Since then, Christina has grown her business – mainly through referrals from happy customers – to include pet sitting and dog training.
With Happy Dogs, Christina’s mission is to provide exceptional, caring service that brings joy and happiness to pets and the people who love them. More than a “babysitting” service, her philosophy is that every Happy Dogs visit should help pets flourish both physically and mentally.
In addition to Christina’s passion for animals and her innate ability to connect with them, she is constantly expanding her knowledge and understanding by participating in ongoing educational opportunities. She has learned from experts at conferences such as the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the International Association of Behavior Consultants and the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. Christina has also completed a number of seminars and workshops with some of the world’s most respected trainers and behaviorists such as Advanced Training Topics with Ken Ramirez; Helping Fearful Dogs and Separation Anxiety and Dog – Dog Play with Nicole Wilde; and Sociability Vs. Aggression Thresholds in Dogs with Sue Sternberg. She is also certified in Pet CPR and Pet First Aid.
Prior to founding Happy Dogs, Christina worked for many years in customer service-related fields. She brings this experience and commitment to the customer experience with her to Happy Dogs. Because of this, her clients know they can count on her and her team to be reliable, trustworthy, and responsive to their questions and concerns.
When not taking care of her client’s furry family members, Christina enjoys spending time with her own family, which includes husband, James, their daughter, Melissa, Siamese mix, Diego, and two Chihuahua mixes, Chico and Maggie.
